Order Processing

Credit card and institutional purchase orders placed over our Internet site, purchase orders received by mail or fax will be processed in 1 to 3 business days. US and Canadian customers note that typical ground UPS and USPS travel time is 5-7 business days from date of shipment. (Western Canada,Alaska,and Hawaii take longer. We strive to process all orders for shipment as fast as possible.

Furniture and some other items are shipped directly from the manufacturer or publication plant. You will be notified immediately of any delay, and the product description should note any extended delivery time needed on certain items. Some orders as a result will ship from multiple locations.

Payment Methods

Online orders can be paid by credit card or using an authorized purchase order number. We accept major credit cards listed to the right. Our ordering process is protected by secure servers for your protection. Mail-in orders can be paid by check, money order, credit card, or purchase order. Faxed orders can be paid by institutional purchase order.Institutional purchase orders are accepted on open credit (30 days net due) from legitimate schools/districts, municipalities, health care, church, and correctional institutions in the US and Canada.

The Exceptional Company does not recommend mailing or faxing your credit card information. If you prefer to pay by credit card, and you are not ordering using our secure online order form, please call toll free 800-716-4956 or indicate on your order that you are paying by credit card so that we can contact you by phone to get your payment information. The Exceptional Company does not store records of credit card information for your security. You will need to provide this information each time you order.

Shipping Policy

The Exceptional Company, LLC currently charges for shipping based on order amount. Orders under $250 will have 10% added to the order to cover shipping. An additional 5% shipping charge will be added to amounts over $250. Minimum shipping charge is $10.00. We reserve the right to choose the most efficient shipper for each order. Orders are shipped by UPS or USPS in most cases, but motor freight will be used when necessary.

School Purchase Orders

We accept purchase orders from all legitimate public and private school institutions. Purchase orders must be on official purchase order forms or school letterhead. Online processing of purchase orders is now available. Simply input authorized purchase order number at check-out. Approved purchase orders are invoiced at 30 days net. Accounts running past due are subject to finance charges.

Vendor Registration Forms and W-9 Forms

Fax or email your requests for completed vendor forms and/or W-9 forms and The Exceptional Company will respond immediately.

If you are not satisfied with a purchase, please call or e-mail the Exceptional Company within 5 days of the receipt of delivery date for a return authorization number. Returned products must come in new condition and in original packaging. Please include a copy of your invoice or receipt to ensure proper credit.
